Women’s All-City, as well as Men’s Senior All-City points rules have been updated and are available for download.

Also, a draft of the 2012 Women’s All-City point system has been published by the association and is available for download. In addition, beginning in 2012, there will be a Senior Women’s All-City team.

Angie Kreitzer Memorial Dayton Queens tournament site has been moved to Poelking South Lanes.

Tournament dates are still the same— November 5th and 6th.

Tournament kicks-off at 9:30 am on Saturday the 5th.

GDUSBC Youth Leaders Announce New Tournament

The Greater Dayton USBC Youth Leaders are proud to announce a new annual tournament open to all adult Greater Dayton USBC members. In response to requests from several area bowlers for new and different tournament opportunities, the Greater Dayton USBC Youth Leaders will host a 9-Pin/No Tap Baker Doubles Tournament at 8pm on April 16th at Poelking Lanes on Wilmington Pike. The ‘Bunny Shoot’ will consist of 6 games of 9 Pin/No Tap Baker Doubles, with the top 16 teams advancing to single elimination match play. Prize money will be awarded to the top eight (8) teams. Doubles teams can be male, female or mixed and a portion of each entry will help fund youth scholarships in our association. The Greater Dayton USBC Youth Leaders are an organization of area youth bowlers, age 12-19, dedicated to advancing the sport of bowling in the Greater Dayton area. They meet monthly to identify areas of opportunity to learn and grow in our sport, as well as providing service to the community. In designing this tournament, they are enhancing their goal-setting, finance and management skills, and paving the way for future generations of bowlers in our area.

Hall of Fame News!

To all Greater Dayton USBC Members:

The Hall of Fame committee of the Greater Dayton USBC is pleased to present the new selection process, ballot criteria, and nomination forms for the combined GDUSBC Hall of Fame. We spent over one hundred hours researching, discussing, listening to input from current Hall of Fame members and sanitizing the new information.

Jeri Flemming to be Inducted into Ohio USBC WBA Hall of Fame

The Ohio USBC Women’s Bowling Association has selected Jeri Flemming to be inducted into their Hall of Fame for Superior Performance category. Flemming will be inducted into the Ohio USBC WBA Hall of Fame at their annual meeting on February 27, 2011 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio. This is the third Hall of Fame that Flemming has been selected. She is also a member of the GDUSBC and the Ohio Bowling Council Hall of Fames.

Flemming’s resume includes averaging 200 or better every season she has bowled since 1992, city all-star team 13 times (9 times as a first-team honoree), three state team titles, 10 city championships and a pair of Springfield city titles, and she won the prestigious State Queens championship in 1995.

GDUSBC City Youth Doubles Set to Begin

The GDUSBC City Youth Doubles is set to begin on November 21 at Poelking Marian Lanes. The squad times are 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. The tournament will also take place on Friday, November 26 and Sunday November 28. Cost for the tournament is $26.00 per team. Walk in entries will be accepted based on lane availability, however it is encouraged to sign up prior to the day of the tournament.

For those youth bowlers who do not have a partner and would like to have help finding one, then click on find a partner link under the youth tab or use this link http://www.daytonbowler.com/youth-2010-2011-tournaments/find-a-partner/. This service is being provided by the Student Leaders and this project is being led by Andy Henrich.
